Over the years, I’ve noticed a recurring and painful gap among adult Jews — particularly women and Jews beyond the binary — who feel deeply called to chant Torah but have no clear entry point.

That’s what this workshop is designed to offer.

 

This workshop is for ADULTS, not b Mitzvah students. 

 

While it is especially centered on women and Jews beyond the binary, any Jewish adult is welcome.

 

It is intentionally designed for absolute beginners, including:

• Adults with a casual, passing curiosity
• Adults with a clear goal (e.g. chanting at a child or grandchild’s b mitzvah, an aliyah, or a specific communal moment)
• Adults who feel Jewishly interested and ready but educationally underprepared

No Hebrew fluency required. No prior chanting experience. No pressure.

• Learn why Jews chant Torah and how chanting actually works (demystified and humanized)
• Understand the realistic pathways to learning Torah chanting as an adult
• See what options exist across different communal and denominational contexts
• Enjoy a preview of my upcoming digital Torah chanting course
• Observe the Q & A, including questions they you feel uncomfortable asking in other settings
• Gain clarity, confidence, and next steps — whether chanting is a “someday” dream or a near-term goal
